Overview

This 11-day trip is the ultimate Southern Italy experience, carefully designed for those who want to discover every nuance of Puglia and Basilicata. Combining a deep cultural immersion among UNESCO World Heritage sites with a rejuvenating finale on the white sandy beaches of Salento, this itinerary offers the most comprehensive exploration of the region.

Your adventure is based on a multi-base accommodation strategy. Instead of facing exhausting daily travel, we use several 4-star hotels located in the heart of the destinations—always within a kilometer of the historic centers. This approach allows you to spend less time traveling and more time experiencing the local atmosphere.

A closer look at your journey

From the historic alleys of Bari to the ancient caves of Matera, to the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea, every detail is organized to offer you maximum comfort and zero stress.

Bari & Matera: the roots of the South

Your exploration begins in Bari, where guided tours of the city reveal a lively and authentic Mediterranean soul. From here, you will travel to Matera for a full-day tour of the "Sassi." These prehistoric dwellings carved directly into the limestone rock represent one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in human history.

The "fairytale" valley and Baroque wonders

Continuing south, you will enter the Itria Valley, a land characterized by theiconic "Trulli"—white stone houseswith conical roofs, unique in the world, located in Alberobello. The tour continues through the "White City" of Ostuni and into the heart of Salento, where you will discover the region's rich Baroque heritage in cities such as Lecce, Galatina, and Otranto.

The grand finale on the coast

The final leg of this tour takes you to the coastal area of Salento, in Porto Cesareo. Here, the focus shifts to relaxation. You will have free time to enjoy the beach and explore some of Italy's most beautiful turquoise waters on your own.
